3. Verification of Ownership & Access Rights
To ensure the safety, security, and legality of our locksmith procedures, Navy Locksmith enforces strict authorization protocols. We will not bypass, repair, rekey, or replace security hardware on any property or vehicle without verifying authorization.
Before performing any lockout entry or lock modifications, the customer MUST present: (1) A valid, government-issued photo ID, and (2) Definitive proof of ownership or legal tenancy (such as a utility bill matching the name and address, a current lease agreement, or vehicle registration matching the ID).
Our dispatchers and technicians reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who fails to provide satisfactory documentation, displays suspicious behavior, or cannot establish undisputed access rights to the home, commercial office, or vehicle.
4. Pricing, Estimates & Payments
We strive to provide clear and transparent pricing information. The financial details of our service terms are outlined below:
Service Call / Diagnostic Fee
A standard service call fee is charged for dispatching a technician to your location and evaluating the hardware. This fee covers travel time and diagnostic evaluation. The diagnostic fee is non-refundable and due upon the technician's arrival, regardless of whether you proceed with the suggested repair or installation.
Quotes & Estimates
Any price estimates provided over the phone or online are preliminary figures based on the description of the lock or vehicle problem. The final price will be determined on-site by our technician after evaluating the condition of the door frame, alignment pressure, lock wear, or key cylinder. The customer will be informed of the actual costs before work begins.
Payment Methods
Payment is due in full Professionally upon completion of the service. We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, and authorized commercial accounts. We do not accept personal checks.
5. Cancellation & Dispatch Policy
Because emergency lockout and lock services require Professional coordination and dispatching of technicians, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Professional Cancellations: You may cancel your service request without penalty within ten (10) minutes of booking the call.
- Late Cancellations: If you cancel after a technician has already been dispatched and is en route, you will be billed for the standard service call fee.
- No-Show Policy: If the technician arrives on-site and you are not present, or you cannot provide verified entry authorization, the service call fee remains due.
6. Limitation of Liability
Locksmith services involve mechanical bypass, key cutting, door frame adjustments, and physical lock modifications. By approving our work, you agree to the following limitations:
Property Wear & Damage: In some situations (such as locked doors with broken internal latches or high-security deadbolts), non-destructive entry may be impossible. Our technician will explain if destructive entry (such as drilling the lock cylinder) is required. Navy Locksmith is not liable for structural wear, pre-existing door frame warp, or damage arising from necessary access bypass approved by the customer.
Product Warranties: We stand behind our workmanship. New locks, smart deadbolts, and door closers installed by our team are subject to the manufacturer’s product warranty. Our service warranty covers installation alignment for a period of thirty (30) days.
Damages Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Navy Locksmith's total liability for any claims, actions, or damages arising out of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that specific service call.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes arising from your relationship with Navy Locksmith, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Alexandria, VA.
